These rendering are of actual people who have posed for the artist in his studio. Each is a one-of-a-kind artwork executed by hand using museum-quality, archival, lightfast materials. These are all ph-neutral (acid-free) and contain no contaminants that would jeopardize the longevity of the artworks. The Pitt India ink is a pigmented ink that will remain lightfast for one hundred years or more, according to the manufacturer, Faber-Castell.
The paper is 100% cotton artists paper (Legion Stonehenge or similar). It measures 22x30 inches/56x76 cm, and has a weight of 250 gsm/90 lb. It is 100% Cotton, made in the United States as a fine art paper of the highest level of quality. It is neutral pH, acid free, chlorine free, contains no optical brighteners, and is buffered with calcium carbonate to improve its archival qualities.
This paper has two deckled edges on the long sides, the short sides are straight cut. Materials are chosen for the manufacturer's uncompromising commitment to fiber composition, archival properties and suitability for lightfast artwork.
